Brief Description of Activity

Host Open House – Sales

On May 22, 2012, our SEU hosted a sales open house at our facilities/studios in Beaumont, Texas.  Attendees were introduced to staff members, listened to a presentation about selling radio time and toured the facilities/studios.  Following the tour, attendees were able to ask questions of the staff.  Resumes were collected and each guest completed a questionnaire and application. SEU participants included our General Sales Manager, Key Account Managers, Promotions Director and several Sales Account Executives. This event was promoted on one or more SEU stations.

On August 28, 2012, our SEU hosted a sales open house at our facilities/studios in Beaumont, Texas.  Attendees were introduced to staff members, listened to a presentation about selling radio time and toured the facilities/studios.  Following the tour, attendees were able to ask questions of the staff.  Resumes were collected and each guest completed a questionnaire and application. Participate in Job Fair

On November 15, 2012, our SEU participated in the Red White & You Job Fair hosted by Southeast Texas Workforce at the Beaumont Civic Center.  SEU representatives spoke with attendees about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job openings within the SEU and answered questions.  Attendees who expressed great interest were provided with an application and a list of job openings.  SEU participants included the Promotions Director and a Sales Assistant.

Brief Description of Activity

Internship Program

From April 1, 2012 to November 30, 2012, our SEU hosted a student intern from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  This student was supervised by our Sales Manager and spent the majority of his time assisting the Sales Department with the creation of Power Point proposals for prospective clients.  He also assisted with the composition of commercials and special off-site events.
